Excellent course. I loved the ability to complete segments as my time allowed. I learned many new concepts as well. I love how the course was broken up into segments to allow for a manageable way to complete the course. - Marji D.
I confess. I’m an in-box zero junkie. More often than not, I end my day with an empty in-box. It’s just habit now.
But, I understand that it doesn’t work for everyone. In fact, for those in a many industries, In-box zero isn’t a realistic goal at all.
It’s easier for me. As an administrative specialist for 30+ years, most of my jobs have been in the arena of office management and administrative support, with some event planning and teaching thrown into the mix. It’s accurate to say that administration has been the key component of my career. Most of my day is in front of a device of some kind, making it easy to respond to emails along the way. For administrators, it’s our job to be gatekeepers, answer questions quickly, and be a hub of information.
But what about teachers? Physicians? Technicians? Social workers? Consultants? Counselors? Or any others in a myriad of jobs that require them to spend several hours a day in front of real people, while email piles up in their device?
They are still told that “In Box Zero” is the goal. So they either add more stress to their lives to keep up with that standard, or they succumb to the flood with a “That’s the way it is” mentality. They become either over-responsive or under-responsive, neither of which is truly productive.
If you’re one of the overwhelmed professionals for whom “In Box Zero” is a frustrating quest, you are not alone, and I’m giving you permission to let go of that goal. (Even though I AM a big fan of it!)
Instead of trying for In-box Zero, set your sights on being an in-box HERO.
You’ll learn to change your mindset about your in-box and become others-focused while maintaining your quest to keep your in-box manageable. In this course, we will unpack four descriptors of an In-box HERO which will improve your professional reputation and personal level of productivity.
This course is called a "Coffee Break Course" because it is intentionally designed to be swift but meaningful. You can go through the entire course in about one-hour, so take yourself and your earbuds to lunch and complete it in one sitting. Or, if you prefer to ponder the concepts, I've divided it into four modules of less than 15 minutes each--to be done during literal coffee breaks.
I want you to be able to go through the material and take action on it quickly. I also offer this course for a very affordable price because I know that MANY overwhelmed professionals struggle with managing their inbox, and the tension between keeping up with it, and properly focusing on project work and “in real life” interactions that their positions require.
Join me on this journey of becoming an Inbox HERO!
